Deborah Travers, High School Faculty

Deborah Travers, High School Faculty ~ Deborah Travers is a member of the Math Department at GCCS, and currently teaches Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, Geometry, and SAT Preparation classes. She has been in education for 16 years, beginning with teaching math in the Gloucester Township Public School System and as a part of GCCS for the last four years. For nearly 20 years Deborah has tutored Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, SAT Prep/ACT Prep, and more to students attending a variety of schools such as St. Augustine, Bishop Eustace, Paul VI, Washington Township, Clearview, Kingsway, and others. Deborah earned a B.A. in Liberal Studies with a specialization in Mathematics/Science and a B.A. in Elementary Education from Rowan University, graduating with a 4.0 GPA as a double major and receiving the Special Medallion Distinguished Senior Award. In addition she holds a NJ Department of Education: Elementary School Teacher Certification and is a Google Level 1 Certified Educator. Deborah has been married for 15 years to Brian and has two daughters, Rebecca (14) and Hannah (8). Her family is active at Fellowship Bible Church where she helps with the Children’s Ministry and serves with members of the Local Outreach team at FBC. One of Deborah’s favorite things is spending time with her family, especially at the beach and in Disney World. Deborah feels that God has uniquely prepared her for her teaching position and called her to work at GCCS. She looks forward to seeing what God has in store for each student and how He will use her to accomplish His will. “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;” Colossians 3:23
