Danielle Carrano, High School Faculty

Danielle Carrano, High School Faculty ~ Danielle Carrano is a member of the English Department at GCCS, and currently teaches 11th and 12th grade English, Senior Life Skills, and 9th grade Computers. She has been in education for 22 years, and prior to the last two years at GCCS Danielle taught at Egg Harbor Township High School, Egg Harbor; Roland Rogers Elementary School, Galloway; Ocean City High School, Ocean City; and homeschooled her own six children. Danielle earned an Associate Degree from Atlantic Community College, a Bachelor of Special Education from West Chester University, and holds certifications for Teacher of Elementary Education in New Jersey and Teacher of Special Education in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Throughout her time in education, Danielle has taught in addition to her current classes: 7th English, multi-grades self-contained English classes, High School Learning Resource, Introduction to Desktop Publishing, 8th Keyboarding, Typing for 3rd-6th grades, and Self-Contained 1st-3rd classes.

Danielle has diverse classroom experience as she has been a cooperative teacher for 12th grade English to accommodate the needs of multi-level learning; a learning resource and self-contained teacher for high school subjects, mainly English and reading, tailoring assignments for students’ individual learning needs; a head teacher for self-contained elementary and secondary classrooms for students with behavioral, emotional and exceptional learning needs; along with cooperative teaching in a regular classroom setting. Additionally, she has helped organize NJ state science standards as part of a state standards committee at Egg Harbor Township High School, been a substitute teacher, yearbook adviser, and an assistant middle school track coach.  Danielle is also active outside the classroom as she is involved in her church as a Sunday School Teacher, Junior Church Teacher, VBS Coordinator, and Music Ministry member. Danielle has been married to her wonderful husband Vince for nearly twenty years, and they have six children who all currently attend GCCS: Liliana 17, Isabella 15, Michael 12, Audrey 10, Lauren 8, and Vincent 6. Danielle thanks the Lord for all He has allowed her to experience through the various seasons of life stating, “I am so undeserving and He’s so good to me!!”
